so, i am a musician and composer in my spare time, but serious enough to be affiliated with the national author's association.

i have entertained the idea of writing a conceptual album about one person's personal journey into a cult, living the cult, and leaving the cult and beyond.

i hope this will resonate, not only with jw's but with people who are going, or went, through similar journeys.

Convention attendance

just heard from a pimi cousin who recently attended a convention, and remarked about the low attendance.

peak was about 500. i remember that circuit, in years past, had attendances of 1000+.

it's been over a decade now since i last attended a jw convention.

If they sack the circuit overseers arrangement,,, I wonder how long it will be before the circuit a$$emblies are ""renamed"". Down the road I'm wondering??

Circa 2009-2010 District Convention became the Regional Convention. About that time. When the District Overseer arrangement became obsolete.

Who wouldn't like some holidays lights up during the darkest time of the year.

They are,, just lights. Some people gotta lighten up,,, you know.

Sacred Days

yesterday was remembrance day/veterans days in canada.

we had a couple younger half wits in the cong in field service yesterday.

both are trying to climb the ladder with the entire elder body ready to die in the next 10 years.. i just of thought it was a dick move to go door to door about the merits of fighting for freedom or not fighting on such a sacred day.

jehovah’s witnesses boast that theirs is a “spirit-directed organization”.. see w88 3/1 pp.

10-17 (my life in jehovah’s spirit-directed organization).

they believe that their deceased founder, charles taze russell (who faced legal action by his wife for inappropriate behavior in his maids bedroom), is directing the modern-day work of jehovah’s witnesses.. after the founder, c t russell died, it was stated that he was still directing the work from heaven.. "though pastor russell has passed beyond the veil, he is still managing every feature of the harvest work.

If you haven't,, please read Raymond Franz' " Crisis of Conscience". Chapter " Double Standards.".

This should create some critical thinking skills on JWs and drafts/ military action.

They admit that they are neither inspired nor infallible & that they can err in doctrinal matters.

And,,they admit that they can screw things up going back in their literature to the 1870s.

Nothing is as plain as day,,,, to who or what is leading the governing body
